My last day in Rome (for now, I'll be back at the end of the trip) was absolutely gorgeous - 70s and sunny with low humidity. Perfect! After a last trip to the rooftop breakfast buffet with the view of St. Peter's (did I mention that there was an urn of steamed milk next to the urn of coffee? lovely!), I strolled by Castel San Angelo again and then found a shady spot to sit in St. Peter's square. An hour and a half later, I had a good spot to see the Pope! Of course, his window (not really his window cuz he won't live in the fancy part of the building) is pretty high up and my eyesight sucks, so I couldn't really see him. But I have a spiffy zoom lens so I have good pics, just not ones I can post right now. The iPhone doesn't zoom so well....
