More Salzburg fun

And I'll be staying tomorrow too so I can spend Thanksgiving in a place I know I love (and can find food - not always easy in the evenings in smaller towns in November) and finally see the Christmas Market in full swing. I've been watching them get ready for days and it looks better than Vienna's so I want to be here when it finally kicks off. Most of the German markets don't start till after I leave so I'm going to pounce on one while I can.

Had a fairly leisurely day - good coffee and drinks with a good book (and people watching) and a harpsichord concert. I think that was probably my first harpsichord concert!  :)  I also walked up to Nonnberg Abbey, the one-time home of both the real and fictional Marias.  I went in the church where the real one married the Captain (as you may recall, I was in the fake Maria's wedding church a few days ago).  I was going to go just a bit further up the hill to the castle for the views but, unsurprisingly, although The Weather Channel forecast sun it was...cloudy and foggy. Despite all the fog, the weather has been much, much better than I had expected after reading stuff on the internet about the weather here in November.  After the first couple of rainy days, it's been dry and even sunny from time to time. And I love the chilly, but not frigid temps.

Happy almost Thanksgiving!
