Day 1 - Sligo

My flight got in at 5:30, so after getting the hang of wrong-side driving again, I made it to Sligo by 9. Of course,that's far too early for a hotel room. So I wandered off for breakfast. Sligoians (Sligots?) are apparently not early risers so I had nearly an hour of (been up all night) strolling before I found a place open for breakfast. Had a lovely Irish breakfast and sat around for a while. Then more walking and a nice tour of Sligo Abbey before my room was ready. At that point, a nap was in order!  Lazed about till it was late enough to do a bit more strolling and then get the early bird special in the Italian Quarter of town. Don't judge, it's not like the Irish are known for their cuisine!  Off to the ancestral hood tomorrow....
